I have less than 2 hours left on a game and the board will not let me do anything! What is wrong? I could move a pawn and it will turn up red. I've already looked up the rules and all the moves I tried don't work. HELP!:'(

Your in check in both of your games buddy. (that means that your king in under attack of an enemy pice, and you have to move it away.
If you mean the game Game 1845684 you just can move your king to safe zone (away from the tower and queen lines) that means all the 8 file (a8. b8, c8 squares).
In the game Game 1848803 the king only safe place its the d8 square, beside your bishop.

Yes.. learning the rules are good.. but even a beginner that knows the rules can get overwhelmed very easily. Try the www.chesskid.com it's a great site to help you master the basics and gives you enough info to go farther. 🙂
You got to learn to walk before you can run, learn the rules of the game before playing it.
This is the "Help" forum. If you will not, or are not able to help, go away. Not everyone learns to play the game at the tender age of 4 years. One would think that with all of the wisdom you must possess after nearly three decades of playing the game, you could be a much more gracious and helpful person.
