That is a good game SG. Lovely (who, when where? It deserves to be more well known.)
alfeliz - greenpawn34 RHP 2010
Features a smashing 'might have been.'
(What was actually played is not too bad either. It contains a smashing Rook lift.)
I see some fantastic things on my board when I tossing the bits about.
Some are too fantastic, but I believe these fantasy trips helps you spots
things.
You store ideas for a rainy day.
Here is what happened in the game.

Step #1: Convince your opponent that you're crap by giving up an exchange for no reason. Step #2: Swindle!

Playing over 1,00's of short games from books dedicated to short
games and traps (and I mean hundred's).
Sometimes, as in the first game, the mate is unplayed, an unheard melody
I call them. It was either missed or thwarted or totally screwed up.
I recently screwed up a nice mate in a Championship game with one
clumsy 'winning' move. I'll post it when it's over.
Originally posted by SwissGambitIt is hard to believe you came back to win that game after that terrible blunder that lost a Rook. Many people would have resigned right then. I probably would have.

One of my earlier games, when still learning the basics
so detailed explanation isnt really necessary.
Black played the king right into mate, which seemed to come out of nowhere

not the most instructive mate, but a nice looking one i feel
These sorts of mates can happen later in the endgame, as in this from another one of my games.
Edit: the PGN's not showing up. Foiled again by RHP's PGN viewer.
FIX'D. I had a smiley face in there and we can't smile in a PGN because that's a variation. 😞
