Incredible p rating

I am playing someone whose p rating is over 1600.

They have only won five games against players with 1300 ish ratings.

How is this possible please?

It’s all in the formula , explained on FAQ pages. provisional ratings can fluctuate. Don’t let it rattle you. The ratings settle down later.
