I've never read Chess Bitch because I assumed it would be about Jennifer Shahade, and I have no particular interest in her. However I've just had a quick look on amazon's preview of the book to see if contained the section about you (it didn't) and started reading about Sonja Graf, who sounds like a very interesting person (I'm going to try to track down a copy of her autobiography, "I Am Susann" ).

Is the rest of Chess Bitch worth reading? Like I say, I have no real interest in Shahade, but I might buy the book if it contains more information about women players of the past.

Yes the book is worth a read. It contains much about many women players past.

I was meaning I sent him a request and he accepted. But it's hard to tell if it's really Carlsen. The Karpov account I had on my friend's list was bogus and FB took it down. We'll see if the same thing happens to Magnus.
The Ivanov account I believe is genuine, judging by the amount of cell phone type pics etc.
Carlsen's account looks like all publicly accessible pictures anyone could nab.

sure but why stress over it, Ivanov is real, its hilarious, there is one picture of him sandwiched between two ladies like a Gangsta rappa and he looks about twelve. He seems fairly emotionally as well as physically immature.
