Isn't the Mark passage I provided meaningless if we are saved by grace alone?
We are to love God and each other as the top two commandments, the rich man had a lot of wealth he cared about, as I said pride and our affections are dangerous for us. Could he count this world loss for the love of God with what he had?

You'll get your answer to this by reading the book of Ephesians.
Work your way up to these very important words in chapter 4 -
" ... the building up of the body of Christ, Until we all arrive at the oneness of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, at a full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." (4:12c,13)

What has that passage got to do with this statement by you:
"This oneness is very important to the whole blessing of life forevermore."

Everything, but again, as usual you stop short of explaining what the Apostles are saying when it conflicts with your church doctrine.
Oneness in Christ means that the Christian must strive for unity in the faith, they must continue with good works and righteousness, striving for perfection, because without that they will have no inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
