But you said you wanted to become a theist because of people preaching to you. If not 'social pressure', then what motivated you to listen to them?

This is a perfectly good thread doing what I wished a good deal more threads did and
ASK people what there experiences are.

If you want to trash talk, go do it in another thread.
No one was talking to you, poopy pants.

It probably has to do with love from my soul my eternal soul that they had for me but I accepted Christ in the car by myself when I was the only one around because I'm a shy person

I wasn't asking how you became a Christian, I am asking why you wanted to become a Christian/Theist. Was there a time when you did not believe in God but wanted to?

Children all around the world (like some Muslim countries) are taught to believe in a god, even before they are able to understand what a god is. No "profound transformation" happens here; children in those societies simply accept what they're taught, and grow up believing in a god.

So while such children aren't "born" theists, it's instilled in them at such an early age (christenings, baptisms, etc.) that they may as well have been.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with teaching children something which is completely unverifiable as fact?
Come on.
What mumbo-jumbo will you allow?

Unverifiable? The Bible verifies it just fine. No "mumbo-jumbo" here.

Hah.

I'm sorry, in what universe is the bible considered evidence for the truth of the claims in the bible.
Have you even heard of the concept of a circular argument?

I was inspired by a divine revelation. A spirit visited me in my dreams and told me I should embrace the lack of faith; that if people saw me as an atheist they'd want to be believers.

I understood it just fine: you contradicted yourself thereby rendering your comment nonsense.

And, PLEASE: stop sending me inappropriate pictures of you with a submission collar and gag ball.
I'm just not into that or you.

The Bible verifies Islam, Mormonism, Scientology, etc?

I wasn't talking about Christianity.
Or does teaching children about god only mean a Christian god?
