Well then I guess you are no longer a Christian. Jesus quite clearly taught that you should not 'do as the Romans do' but should rather turn the other cheek.

But if you thought you were nicer than Jesus in the past, then I dread to think what we are in for now.

We are human and can be better than that. Answering violence with violence only breeds more violence. It is often better to look for a peaceful solution.

Actually, Jesus got angry and overturned money changers, and whipped people. There is a righteous anger, that the world today considers mean and cruel, but it is not.
