Łukasz Cyborowski is a Polish chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster (GM), the highest ranking a chess player can achieve. Born on 27th October 1980, he earned his GM title in 2002. With a Polish Chess Championship victory in 2005 under his belt, Cyborowski has also found success in multiple team competitions. As part of the Polish national team, he won bronze in 2004 at the 36th Chess Olympiad, and then silver at the European Team Chess Championship in 2005.
Cyborowski has played at the European Club Cup with his club ADGmad Madrid and he also participated on numerous occasions in the World Team Chess Championship with his Polish team. Other accomplishments include a tie for first place with his brother in the 2000 Polish U20 Championship and joint winner of the 2001 World U20 Chess Championship.
Aside from competitive chess, Cyborowski holds a degree from the Sport Championship School, and is also engaged in chess training and commentary. He has authored a publication titled "Understanding Chess: Learn to Play Like a Master." His brother, Krzysztof Cyborowski, is an International Master, a chess title just one rank lower than Grandmaster.
