I used to play a lot in tournaments ...years ago, and was rated about 2000 at that time. I never stopped playing however, and believe I've gotten better. I'm a fast player, rarely take any great length of time to move, and will often respond quickly if I'm at my PC when you make your move. In complicated positions I analyze thoroughy, but often trust my positional instinct when choosing my move. I prefer positions with beautiful pawn structure, all pieces communicating well, i find such formations logical and pleasing to the eye. I try to avoid loose, chaotic, or overly complicated formations at all cost.
