    The Griffon stalks quickly through the woods along the river bank into the northern overwatch position.

    The Lineholder picks it's targets first. The Harrier hovertank is directly in front of him, over the water, moving slowly...it's fixed laser unable to fire back...and is a very easy target. His missiles and ER Large Laser can also easily hit the infantry. The other vehicles can also be targetted but are less easy to hit.

    Unless he prefers a different target the Harrier seems like the best opportunity by far. Which weapons will he use? All weapons have easy shots, except for the primary ER L. Laser which is a VERY easy shot at the Harrier. 14 heat sinks, the ERLL uses 12 heat; each LRM is 2 heat, each Medium Pulse Laser is 4 heat. Which weapons will he use, and will he shoot the Harrier or a different target (or both?)

    yes. I'll take this advice for now and aim at the target I have the most chances of hitting.

    Tomtom232 fires his LRMs and Medium Pulse Lasers at the Harrier.

    The Blitzkrieg has no targets.

    The turrets on the Saracen and Pegasus hovertanks with their missiles and lasers aim at Tomtom232.

    The Cobra helicopter aims it's laser at the Griffin.

    The Griffin evaluates his potential targets. His two Medium Lasers are nearly useless. They have only one potential target - the Karnov rocket-helicopter, but even that would be a Hail Mary near impossible shot. In fact there are no good shots available. The LRM has a difficult shot at the far off infantry, a more difficult shot at the Saracan, and a very difficult shot at the Karnov. The Large Laser has only difficult shots with the infantry being least difficult, the Karnov near impossible and the Cobra and Saracen in between.

    Not an easy decision to make. Which targets will the Griffin shoot and with which weapons? The Saracen hovertank is hovering over water which means a good shot to the engine could drop it into the water and destroy it. Choosing multiple targets makes them all harder to hit.

    The idea of turning the hovercraft into a submarine with a single shot sounds appealing. I'll take that shot, and that one only.

    Tomtom232 fires at the Harrier. Even though it's an easy shot he still misses with some of his weapons. He does manage to damage one of the fans that steers this hovercraft and bang up the armor somewhat in the left and rear.

    The Cobra helicopter misses the Griffin.

    The Pegasus hovertank fires at the Lineholder and hits! So doe the Saracen! The Lineholder takes damage to various parts of it's armor and in addition a missile cracks tomtom232 right in the cockpit, sending a shard of metal into his left arm. Despite his bleeding he still manages to keep the 'mech upright despite the large number of hit it took.

    The Griffon misses the Saracen hovertank.

    The Cobra helicopter continues to move northwest until it passes directly in front of where the Blitzkrieg is lurking. It's low down, flying at elevation 1 above ground that is elevation 0, while the Blitzkrieg stand on elevation 1.

    The Saracen hovertank reverses direction and moves backwards off of the water and on to the river bank next to where the Harrier is hovering.

    Where would the Blitzkrieg like to move? It can move forward to get a better line of sight on the Cobra. If it does this it can easily stay out of the laser's arc of fire. Even if the Blitzkrieg stood still the laser wouldn't be able to hit it; it's aimed west of the mountain where there are no targets. The rest of the enemy vehicles are still to the east of the mountain fairly far away. Blitzkrieg can also stand still or move elsewhere.

    However it should be kept in mind that many of the enemy vehicles have not moved yet. The Karnov rocket helicopter especially will be able to take advantage of Blitzkrieg's blind spots.
