Bolat Kabdeshuly Asanov is a well-renowned International Grandmaster and International Arbiter in the arena of chess. He was born on December 15, 1961, in Almaty, a city in Kazakhstan. The talented chess player became the Vice Champion of Kazakhstan in the year 1984. The following year, he bagged the prestigious navy champion of the USSR.
Asanov had an extraordinarily successful 2001 - he was awarded the International Arbiter title in the month of July; and a few months later in October, he won the International Grandmaster title. His chess-playing career reached new heights of distinction when he claimed the victory in a significant chess competition in the Dutch town of Leeuwarden.
He also made significant contributions and demonstrated top-notch performances in team completions. His team stood first in the Championship of Kazakhstan in 1996 and he played for the national team of Kazakhstan in the Asian Team Chess Championship 1995.
Asanov is also an author who wrote and published a book named "Modern Chess Self-Taught" in 1983. Apart from his accomplishments in chess, he also graduated from the Kazakh National Pedagogical University of Abai with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
