Melor Bedia is a French chess player who was awarded the title of Internationational Master by FIDE (International Chess Federation) in 1999. He has made significant contributions to chess in France, becoming the French rapid chess champion in 2005 and the French blitz chess champion in 2006.
In addition, Bedia has played for the French national team on a number of occasions, including for the U16 team in the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiads from 1996 to 1998, where he also won individual bronze in 1996 and team silver in 1997. He also represented France in the European U20 Championship in 2002.
Furthermore, Melor Bedia played in the Chess World Cup 2009, but was eliminated in the first round by Dmitry Jakovenko.
Although the peak of his career was in the early 2000s, Bedia has maintained his active involvement with the chess community in France and continues to compete in national competitions.
