Bogdanovich competed in numerous chess events throughout his career. He played for Ukraine in both the U-18 European Youth Chess Championship and the World Youth Chess Championship in 2011. During this period, he also performed prominently in several Ukrainian Championships.
He gained international recognition in 2017 and 2018 by finishing second and first, respectively, in the Marienbad Open. In 2019, Bogdanovich was as a runner-up in the Lienz Open in Austria.
Bogdanovich's playing style was based on the aggression and a tactical vision. His opening repertoire was quite varied, frequently using both e4 and d4 as white, as well as diverse responses as black.
Outside of competitive chess, Bogdanovich was also involved in online chess platforms, where he competed under the pseudonym "Stanislav.Bogdanovich". He was a regular participant in the lichess tournaments, often with very high rankings.
Stanislav Bogdanovich passed away in Moscow on February 5, 2020, along with his partner, Alexandra Vernigora.
