Dénes Boros is a Hungarian chess Grandmaster and chess journalist. Born in Budapest, Hungary on February 24, 1988, he learned chess at a young age and consistently excelled in it, winning numerous youth championships.
In 2008, Boros became a grandmaster, the highest title a chess player can achieve, awarded by the World Chess Federation. He was part of the Hungarian team that won the under-18 European Youth Team Chess Championship in 2006, and himself won the U18 European Youth Chess Championship. In 2010, he became the Hungarian National Champion.
Apart from his playing career, Boros has always been active in chess journalism. He was the web editor of the United States Chess Federation's website, Chess Life Online, and has worked as a freelance journalist for Chessbase, where he also authored reports on international chess tournaments. He's also known for his work as a professional chess commentator.
Currently, Boros lives in the United States. He continues to play chess, write, and commentate on chess games, contributing to the chess community in multiple ways.
