Nikola Djukić (born 21 July 1983) is a Montenegrin chess Grandmaster. He earned his Grandmaster title in 2003, becoming only the second person from Montenegro to achieve this. He has been an extremely influential figure in the world of chess in Montenegro, winning the national championships several times.
Djukić has represented Montenegro in chess competitions across the globe. In particular, he was the Montenegrin representative at the Chess Olympiads – a biennial team event with participants from all over the world - on several occasions. He first represented Montenegro in this event in 2004, when the country gained independence.
His performances have often been notable. In 2009, he won the Albena Open in Bulgaria, showing his ability to compete at a high level in international tournaments. In addition to this, he took part in the European Individual Chess Championship (2005 and 2008) and earned a respectable score.
Djukić's achievements and his commitment to the game of chess have granted him a high-profile status in the sport within Montenegro. His talent and dedication have helped him to make important contributions to the chess community throughout his career.
