Vereslav Eingorn (b. 23 April 1956) is a Ukrainian chess grandmaster. He began his professional chess career by winning the USSR Junior Chess Championship in 1973. In 1976, he tied for 2nd at Yerevan and was titled an International Master in 1977. He won the national championship of Ukraine in 1986. Eingorn was awarded the grandmaster title in 1986 too. He also earned a bronze medal in 1998 at the Chess Olympiad in Elista where he represented his country along with teammates.
Eingorn is known for his positional style of play and his knowledge of the opening theory. He was a second to former world champion Anatoly Karpov in a number of his World Championship matches and has collaborated with Karpov on a book about the Caro-Kann Defence. He has also penned several books on Chess theory and general tips for improving one's play.
Eingorn was a faculty member of the Odessa Institute of Law and Economy, teaching the subject of chess. He was involved with the organization of the "Vasylyshyn Memorial” chess tournaments.
