Nadezhda Kosintseva is a Russian chess Grandmaster (GM) who was born on January 14, 1985. With her strong inclination towards the game since childhood, she gradually developed her skills and achieved several prestigious ranks, including Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and International Master (IM). Her younger sister, Tatiana Kosintseva, is also a renowned chess GM.

Kosintseva began her professional career in chess at a very young age. In 1998, she won the World Youth Chess Championship in the girls' U14 category. Additionally, in 2002, she achieved the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM).

Kosintseva's game improved over years and she reached significant milestones. She helped the Russian women's team scoring victories in both the European Team Chess Championships (2007, 2009, and 2011) and the Women's Chess Olympiads (2010 and 2012).

She also participated in the FIDE Women's Grand Prix cycles. She won the 2010 Nalchik leg of the Women's Grand Prix and came second in the 2010-2011 series, which qualified her for the Women's World Chess Championship 2012 but she did not participate.

After a certain period, Kosintseva stopped competing, in around 2014. However, she still contributes to the game of chess as a trainer. In 2017, she was inducted into the team of coaches for the US women's team and provided expert guidance to Jennifer Yu, who won the US Women's Chess Championship in 2019.
