Yair Kraidman is an Israeli chess player who earned the title of Grandmaster in 1976 and was considered one of the strongest Israeli players during the 1960s and 1970s. Born on January 25, 1932, in Israel, Kraidman has participated in several chess Olympiads and has also represented his country in various international competitions.
His success in these competitions was instrumental in establishing Israel's reputation as a significant chess-playing nation. He particularly excelled in the Tel Aviv Olympiad of 1964, finishing 6th overall and becoming the best scoring player in the Israeli team. He won the Israeli Chess Championship in 1968.
