Gilles Mirallès is a French chess player who earned the title of International Master (MI) in 1991 and Grandmaster (GM) in 1993. Born on May 18, 1970 in Antibes, France, Mirallès began playing chess at a young age. His early career saw him winning national junior titles, including the French Junior Championship in 1988 and the Open of France in 1990.

Following his active chess career, Mirallès managed an online chess site, Europe-Echecs, with his friend IM Christophe Bouton from 2001 to 2007. He also served as a chess trainer and coach, working with several chess clubs, including the Club d'Échecs Antibes and Bischwiller.

Mirallès also wrote a chess textbook, "Mate in 13 moves," which breaks down chess strategy into 13 key principles. He has also been involved in organizing and managing chess tournaments in France, including the French Youth Championships in 2008 and 2009, the International Open of Bischwiller from 2009 to 2012, and the French Championships in 2018.

From 2007 to 2013, Mirallès was the Director of the French Chess Federation's training department. He developed the Federation's online training platform and managed about 40 trainers.

Mirallès returned to competitive play in 2016 after a 16-year hiatus and won the Veterans Championship of France in 2018.
