His notable performance includes winning the 2015 Chigorin Memorial, an international open tournament held annually in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He also won the 2021 Voronezh Master Open, part of the Voronezh Chess Festival in Russia.
Mozharov excels in rapid chess as well, as exemplified by his victory in the Moscow Open 2015 rapid event and his second-place finish in the 2017 Russian Rapid Grand Prix. In 2018, he was third in the Moscow Open 2018 blitz championship.
Mozharov also participates in team events. He played for the Ugra team in the 2013 Russian Team Championship and was the top reserve for the team. In 2014, he played for the Bronze Horseman team in the European Chess Club Cup.
An important portion of his career has been his involvement in coaching chess. He was the head coach of the Russian national women's team, which won the gold medal at the 2014 Chess Olympiad and the bronze medal at the 2016 Chess Olympiad. Mozharov also coached Russia's U20 national team which won the 2015 World Youth Team Chess Championship.
His contributions to chess extend to chess literature as well. He is the author of a book titled "Endgame Virtuoso Magnus Carlsen: His Extraordinary Skills Uncovered and Explained," published in 2019.
Apart from his career in Chess, Mozharov has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the National Research University Higher School of Economics. He is also fluent in English, German, and Russian.
