Momchil Petkov is a Bulgarian chess player who was awarded the International Master title by FIDE (the world chess federation) in 1989 and the Grandmaster title in 2014. He was born in Sofia on April 22, 1964. He has been recognized internationally through his many impressive performances in major chess tournaments.
