Alan Pichot (born 28 August 1998) is an Argentine chess grandmaster. At a young age, his chess abilities quickly progressed, and he became the World Under-16 Champion in 2014. At the Capablanca Memorial in Havana, Cuba, in 2016, Pichot was announced as Argentina's newest grandmaster, the highest title a chess player can achieve, making him the second-youngest Argentine player to do so.
Throughout his career, he has performed notably at both national and international tournaments. In 2015, at 16 years old, he was the runner-up in the Argentine Championship. He also won the South American U20 Championship in 2016, and in the 2018 South American Chess Championship, he finished fifth overall.
During the 42nd Chess Olympiad in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2016, Pichot played on Argentina's top team. He has won several important matches for his teams, including Olímpico Mercosur, where he helped the team win a South American league title.
In 2020, Pichot competed in the FIDE Online Nations Cup. In October 2021, he won the American Continental Chess Championship, defeating Danyyil Dvirnyy in the final round. With this win, he qualified for the 2023 FIDE Chess World Cup.
