Pranav Anand (born October 30, 2005) is a chess player from Bihar, India. He obtained the title of International Master (IM) on 24 December 2019 and is one of the youngest International Masters in the world. He achieved the title at a young age of 14.
Anand started playing chess at a very young age and showed talent. He achieved his first major success by winning the Asian Youth Chess Championship in the Under 8 category in 2014. Since then, he has exhibited a steady progression in his performances in various tournaments. He won the Open State Chess Championship in 2015 and the State Chess Championship in the Under 25 category in 2016.
His chess career has risen significantly since 2018. In 2019, he became the champion at the Asian Youth Chess Championship in the Under 14 category. Later in the year, Anand achieved the title of International Master. He also received the FIDE Master title in 2020.
