Alexander Riazantsev is a Russian Grandmaster of chess, born on September 12, 1985. He first achieved the title in 2001, and triumphed in the Amateur Chess Championship in 2004. He also won the Russian Chess Championship in 2016.
Riazantsev's career includes competing in the FIDE World Cup in 2017 where he was knocked out of the competition in the first round. In addition, he served as a coach for the Russian women's team that won the 2014 Chess Olympiad, and he has also trained notable players including Ian Nepomniachtchi.
