Rogozenco won the European Junior Chess Championship in 1994 and earned the Grandmaster title in 1995. Further prolific moments in his career include winning the Romanian Chess Championship in 2000 and the Dortmund Sparkassen Chess Meeting in 2003. He also won the EU championship in 2003.
In 2006, Rogozenco worked as a second to former FIDE World Champion Veselin Topalov. In 2013, he took on the role as coach of the World Champion challenger, Viswanathan Anand, for the World Chess Championship 2013.
Rogozenco has not only made contributions as a player, but also as an author, having written two chess books in German. Aside from this, he has also worked as a journalist for various chess websites.
