Sadorra started playing chess when he was nine years old and entered competitive chess at the age of fifteen. He showed great potential, and in 2008, won the National Chess Championship of the Philippines.
In 2011, Sadorra was awarded with FIDE (International Chess Federation) grandmaster status, after achieving three GM norms in tournaments held in Spain and Indonesia, as well as in New York City at the Marshall Chess Club.
Sadorra also has a degree in Business Administration, which he earned from the University of Texas at Dallas in the United States on a chess scholarship, graduating cum laude. He has represented the United States at the international level in chess.
He has participated in many prestigious international chess tournaments, including the World Chess Olympiads, representing the Philippines in various editions from 2008 until 2016. In 2014, he won the Lone Star Open, among other notable achievements.
He's known for playing aggressive attacking chess, and for his creative abilities on the board.
