Krishnan Sasikiran is a renowned Indian chess grandmaster, known for his several accomplishments in the game. He was born on January 7, 1981 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father introduced him to chess when he was a child. He received his grandmaster title from FIDE (the international chess federation) in 2000.
Krishnan Sasikiran has won numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to chess. At the beginning of his career in 1999, he won the Asian Junior Chess Championship in Vung Tau, Vietnam, which paved the way for his global recognition.
