Thought chess interesting, bought Chess set. Friends taught how pieces moved, and then romped all over me. Desperate, read Instruction book "(Play Chess in 30 Minutes) and beat all 6 friends. Entered tournament and WON prize (Boobie prize - lowest score). Prize (Lasker's Manual of Chess) I read and got HOOKED...GOOD. Learned co-ordination, patience and caution. Now climbing ladders. ("Isle of Chess"...sound it out)
