I usually don't claim timeouts unless the position is absolutely won (mate in x moves), or if I feel the opponent is stalling, or if the opponent's profile says that he/she does claim timeouts. People who claim timeouts the second my time is finished, especially when I am in a winning position, go in my ignore list.
