Artist, living in NYC USA. Learned to play at 8 yrs of age, but only played a handful of games then. Took up chess again at age 30, and now am quite happily addicted to the game. I normally play in the mornings for 1-2 hours over that first (& second) cup of coffee.

Playing much less these days -- still, I'll likely continue to indulge in the thematic tournaments here, which provide excellent learning.

Currently my e4 game is a fair bit stronger than d4 - trying to remedy that situation!

I do spend a fair amount of human time on these games -- please no silicon assistance / centaur behavior
