I play correspondence chess to help my OTB performance. That means I use databases and books during play to learn as much as I can about a particular opening (or endgame). And don't be surprised if I'd skip an easy win to transpose into an "interesting" endgame.

However, if you state you don't want books allowed then I won't use them. (Also: I hate to time people out, and won't if your vacation flag is up. I don't expect the same from you unforgiving people though.)
