I played correspondence chess in the early 2000's and infact was a member of this site. Life got in the way and chess put on the shelf for the best part of a decade. However, there really is no game as good as chess? And correspondence has to be the most relaxed and enjoyable way to play. As a geologist I find myself regularly away from civilization, but as long as there is a weak internet connection somewhere, I get joy in breaking my day with a little of the chess opiate.
