My favorite player is Botvinnik. I think Fischer is currently GOAT with Kasparov close. Carlsen will probably get that title as he seems to have a special understanding of the geometry of the game.
I am not against playing a much lower rated player - but only 1/0 time. When I see a challenge from someone 1250 or so offering 3/3 I know they haven't even had the sense to check my profile.
I now take skulls as soon as I see them, having grown weary of players who abuse the Timeout.
