I like to think of chess as an art, and therefore, just as the artist tries to create the perfect painting, stroke by stroke, so I try to play the perfect game, move by move.
I appreciate different styles of play and different openings, but the one thing I cannot stand is players that play one system with both colours, ie Colle, Stonewall, Reti etc. It is so boring, and if players are so scared of surprises and novelties from opponents which arise from playing different openings, they really don't get chess.

One last thing. Unfortunately, the android phone app for this site does not appear to be able to send messages. I've often tried to reply to those sent to me when using my phone
but it hasn't worked, so if I haven't responded it is not because I'm snubbing you!
