Bio
Privately I am a software developer from Germany creating Air Traffic Management software and also a Free Software developer.
I have been playing chess since the age of 5. I was very active until I was 20 and a successful youth player. At end I had beaten FM title holders on quick (15/20m) and long game tournaments. So I believe I am not entirely bad, although for the last 17 years, my game had only have been declining. But I invest a lot of effort in my games here, and manage to play some really good games, and have only few blunders. Thankfully my opponents pay my blunders back, normally. 🙂
I enjoy playing relatively quick here and will normally move at least 2 or 3 times a day. Many times I have no games to move at all. Recently I have brought the number of games down to achieve better focus, and abuse your lack of focus when you are playing too many games at once.
Note: I will claim timeout without hesitation. Especially when I am in a lost position, although I will promise to feel bad about it, for a short while. I have to this day not had a single game where I was even close to a timeout. Don't hope that you can win timeouts against me.
The picture is one of my son, he simply looks better.
