Bio
At the age of 11 years, I learned to play chess using a children's book. I can still remember the images of this book. So I played chess a few years, actually in hindsight it was more sliding wood according to the rules than chess but it was still fun. As a result of my studies, I stopped playing chess. Two years ago I got the idea to give my students (I am a physics teacher) the opportunity to play chess against each other during the break at noon. And so I started back playing. Chess is for me not an goal in itself but a means to develop myself.
I solve on a daily basis tactical puzzles via the website: http://chesstempo.com/chess-tactics.html
The quality of my moves are generally improved after going through the courses of GM Igor Smirnov, "The Grand Master's secrets", "The Grand Master's Laboratory Opening" and “How to Beat Titled Players”. For more information go to the website http://chess-teacher.com/course. You can get also free chess lessons in videoformat by GM Smirnov there. Check it out!
