Chess Terms : Boden's Mate Explained
Boden's Mate is a checkmate pattern in chess where the enemy king is mated by two bishops that control two intersecting diagonal lines, and possibly obstructed by friendly pieces. This pattern often occurs after the classic double bishop sacrifice. The mate is named after Samuel Boden, who used it to defeat R. Schulder in London in 1853.
