What is Castling Long?
Chess Terms : Castling Long Explained
Castling Long, also known as queenside castling, is a special move in chess involving the player's king and one of their rooks. In this move, the king is transferred from its original square two squares towards the rook on the player's left side (queenside), then that rook moves to the square the king just crossed. It is a strategy to safeguard the king and connect the rooks. However, Castling Long can only be done if certain conditions are met: no pieces between the king and rook, neither pieces have moved prior to castling, king is not in check, and the squares the king will cross are not under attack.
