@ratatouie saidGotham chess has some videos on you tube for beginners and up. I think he explains things better than most of the others. I don’t mind playing you a non rated game with one color then after the other one. Watch a few of his videos also, he will walk you through an opening for beginners. Learn it well and the responses to each move and stick with that one opening and focus on just the first 10 moves.

The best thing would be for him to slow down, use analyze board each move to look at every option from both sides and the flip the board option. He is throwing a lot of pieces away and missing captures for no reason but was better than his rating shows especially if he slows down and looks.
Might be better to learn a "system" rather than an opening.
e.g London System or Lion Defense
And yes Gotham Chess is informative and funny!
