    Last year, there was a thread about Michael Atiyah claiming to have
    a proof of the Riemann hypothesis. That proof has been rejected.

    MIchael Atiyah died on 11 January 2019. (His wife, Lily, died in 2018.
    His younger brother, Patrick, a notable legal scholar, died in 2018.)
    (I don't recall anyone here earlier mentioning MIchael Atiyah's passing.)
