      Planning Rh8, but even that doesn't win the Bishop or White's H-pawn. This was probably what Black had been relying on with Rg8.

        Ruling out Rh8.

          A bit aimless. I should have taken the time to lay down a better attack, rather than repeat the position.

            ?? Simply losing the rook. Better would have been Rg8.

              Black can't take the d-pawn because of Qh3+ winning the Bishop and, likely, the queen. Actually it looks as though there is a forced win in all the variations I am seeing.

                Originally, I had planned on simply taking the Bishop, but here I began to see more forcing moves.

                  No good choices here.
                  • 26. Qh3h8 Kf8xf7 27. Bf6xe5
                    It seemed that from here I could win both the Queen and the Rook.
