I have both Bishops looking at the Kingside and the pawns at e6/d5 somewhat cramp blacks position at the moment. I want to keep things rolling on the Kingside.

I wasn't ready to exchange Bishops yet.

I think ... e5 looks good here. So in hind sight the exchange of Bishops may have been better.

I wanted to open up Blacks King and provoke a response.
