London System vs King's Indian

  • 21. Nb3d4
? Although this move looks natural (I for one expected it) it loses the game to a neat tactical continuation
  • 21... Nf6g4
! - Point being that after fxg4 there is Nxg4+ and Bxd4 is to follow
  • 22. Kf2g1 Rd8xd4
! - If Bxd4 then Black has another sac with Nxf3+ and once again Bxd4 comes with a strong attack..... best is fxg4, however Rxc4 and White still struggles
  • 23. Bf1xd3
This makes things easier, Black can now be a full piece up (that poor Rook on h1)
  • 23... Rd4xd3 24. Qe1e4
Again fxg4 was better, but the position is lost regardless
  • 24... b6 25. Bc5xe7 Qe6xe7 26. Rc1e1
Perhaps White wanted me to see and play Qc5+ leading to mate
  • 26... Ne5xf3
But I didn't see it straight away, as had my eye on this sac for several moves
  • 27. gxf3 Qe7c5 28. Kg1g2 Qc5f2 29. Kg2h3 Rd3xf3 30. Qe4xf3
White graciously obliges the mate in one (Kxg4 also led to mate, but not as quick)
