A weird opening leading to interesting play. To summarize my games so far in RHP so far: Only two opponents have beat me so far and I am happy to say that one guy who beat me has a current rating of 2000+ (vachessnut). I also managed to "win" a drawn game which was gifted to me by my opponent (game already annotated). The other loss was to an opponent named slacri. The game swung many times and I managed to blunder a rook in 1 move!! something which I promised I wont be doing in my profile. Anyway this win puts me on the 1700 club and I hope to play some strong players.
1. e4 Nb8c6 2. d4 f5
I was expecting e5 or d5
3. exf5
I took this because the diagonal (e8-h5 is not open) especially he cant play g6 anymore without creating tons of weakness
3... Ng8f6
This covers the h5 square
4. d5
!? Maybe I am breaking some rules here but it was my opponent who waved the red flag
4... Nc6b4
I was already calculating some funny lines like Ne5? then I planned f4 Neg4 then now Be2! Nh6 Bh5+ which wins for white
5. c4
protecting the pawn
5... d6
?? A blunder which I see only while annotating the game with an engine.
6. a3
?? As I said I see this only now. Qa4 check won a piece!!
6... Nb4a6 7. Bf1d3
protecting the f5 pawn and hindering blacks development very badly
