I decided to play the 2011 championship tourney with as wide a variety of openings as possible. Each game I opened with a different pawn until I came back around to my e and d pawns, then I varied my second move. (I didn't go for b4, g4, b5 and g5 as first moves -- 6th rank only with them. HobbesVsTiger drew me playing in pretty much as boring a fashion as I know how, poor man.

I may attempt to challenge his long-diagonal power eventually.
Incidentally, I retreated the rook immediately because I wanted to play *a* knight back to f6 and didn't want to orphan my rook. I did not expect that this would be that knight. I haven't realized that I've hung a pawn yet.

?! Allows me time to play Qb6 after Ne6, which I have allowed yet again. I'm playing badly and my opponent is not punishing me. Honestly, I'm not sure which move of my last five deserves the "?".

I am allowed to remove some pressure.

?! Material of equivalent numeric value is exchanged, but I'd rather have the minors on the board.
16... Ne5g4
!? This is a rather nice place for that knight.

My lone pawn around my King could prove insufficient protection, I admit.
