Schoolteachers report career satisfaction. Jobs are plentiful. Pay is better than in many professions. Pensions are good. Yet for decades the US has struggled with acute teacher shortages, especially in physics, math, and chemistry.
Your Republican hatred of science and education is crippling the tech sectors of our economy. Fortunately that means I was able to get a good job because unlike you people I have no problem with going to school and studying science.
Yes evolution and the Big Bang are correct, Young Earth Creationism and the Flat Earth are wrong. Sorry right wingers.
@suziannesaid I'd say chances are you already know about it.
Didn't you teach history?
I'm a science teacher but I know a lot about history too
EDIT Apparently this long block of text is about Doris Miller the Black Navy cook who shot down some Japanese planes at Pearl Harbor with an AA gun. He was played by Cuba Gooding Junior in the Pearl Harbor movie.
@phrannysaid On the sunny Sunday morning of December 7, 1941, Messman Doris Miller had served breakfast aboard the USS West Virginia, stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and was collecting laundry when the first of nine Japanese torpedoes hit the ship.
In the deadly confusion, Miller reported to an officer, who told him to help move the ship’s mortally wounded captain off the bridge. Un ...[text shortened]... /apnews.com/article/trump-policies-agenda-election-2024-second-term-d656d8f08629a8da14a65c4075545e0f
@kevcvs57said Oh my god the stupid just keeps coming
They ARE women biologically until they medically or surgically trans so they have periods but they trans when they declare themselves female.
Vajoma the ultimate half wit, out of his depth again
Wajoma is right. Trans people don't define their gender by whether they've had surgery or hormones. It's a psychological thing not an anatomic thing. Calling a FtM trans a woman is considered disrespectful.
When you were in high school, did you give a crap about who was in the White House? Did you ever think about it at all?
But I bet you wanted an Xbox.
When I was 16 I was a high school drop out working a minimum wage job. I had no interest in X boxes at the time. Anyway I was in college when the X box came out in 2002.
Are you saying people older than 18 don't have people trying to buy their votes but 16 year olds do?
Beginning in the 1830s, the iconic symbol of democracy (as seen in many images below) was the transparent, glass globe, ballot box. But, in the late 1800s with partisanship, campaign finance and inequality soaring to all-time highs, the United States began to roll out the secret ballot. The intentions were clear. Proponents like John Stuart Mill claimed the secrecy of the ballot would curb the power of intimidating landlords and the rampant vote-buying funded by the wealthy.
Now embraced as a ‘cornerstone of modern democracy,’ the secret ballot brought an immediate reduction to election violence, intimidation and bribery.
@earl-of-trumpssaid This has to be the most stupid post I have seen in a long long while.
When the fork are you racist liberals going to accept the fact that ALL anti-jewish
protests in college campuses and in the city streets is ALL democrat ALL the time
So you leftist bastids cuss the Jews and you blame the Republicans for it.
leftists=racist sleezebags
Did you not notice the recent post where JJ is praising the founder of the American Nazi party?!
If my daughter did have the vote, there is absolutely zero question that I could "buy" it by agreeing to get her that pair of overpriced Uggs slippers she wants or for that matter, for use of the car this weekend. She would vote for Mickey Mouse for either of those things without a second thought.
@wajomasaid You're missing the crucial difference kaka bamboozle, the goobermint is the biggest and baddest monopoly of them all, it has the power to use force against you (a degree of slavery), the corporations do not (no slavery) You don't like corporations don't deal with them. You don't like dealing with goobermint, prepare to have goobermint thugs stomp on your rights.
(Did I no ...[text shortened]... hippers defense of the biggest baddest monopoly of them all, and here's kaka bamboozle right on cue)
If you think corporations don’t have the power to use force you are deluded.
...they undermine traditional life and they deracinate society...deracinate...tear out the roots. A real people derives its Genius from the land...from the soil, this is how they know themselves. But the Jews dont even have soil.
