Queen's pawn - Bronstein gambit

1. d4 Nf6 2. g4
The Bronstein Gambit arises after 1.d4 Nf6 2.g4. ECO code: A45.
Overview
Named after David Bronstein (1924–2006), the Soviet grandmaster who occasionally employed this aggressive pawn thrust. White offers the g-pawn to open lines on the kingside.
Strategic Themes & Plans
The gambit aims for an aggressive kingside setup, but it is objectively dubious as it weakens White's kingside without compensation. Black can accept with 2...Nxg4 or decline with 2...d5 or 2...e5. The opening is rarely seen in serious play.
