Also known under the name Sochin Dachi (immovable stance), this stance shares some characteristics with Kiba Dachi (horse or stradle stance), weight is distributed equally between both legs, the center of gravity in between and the tension on the knees outward. In my opinion, this is the most effective karate stance for an aggressive fighter as it allows for quick forward, sideways and backward movement .
