I'm probably addicted to internet chess though in full denial.

Chess doesn't bring you happiness or even many happy memories... just a few highs and an awful addiction -that is if you let it. And once you let it get into your head it takes up tenancy there and will not leave voluntarily. It's difficult to be anecdotal about why it's so addictive, perhaps it's the challenge? But don't you just love the game? You know you do 'cause you keep coming back for more. Me? I like it loads!

I had a very late night... didn’t sleep at all but sometimes the body asserts its own imperatives. It’s shutting down now so I really shouldn’t play anymore....
