I am a musician who is getting back into chess because of the mental stimulation involved. I am doing a little studying in my spare time, looking at openings and whatnot. I have an iGoogle gadget that plays grandmaster tournaments from the past on a little chessboard, and I find the game to be very interesting overall.
In terms of music I am a hardcore theory nut and I have over fifteen years of teaching experience. I listen to most genres, including classical from all eras, noise rock like the Locust and Arab on Radar, electronic and jazz music, and some folk like LeadBelly.
Other interests include literature and mathematics. I am from the US but will be residing in Indonesia for some time. Let's play some chess.
